In total, in the whole of Vietnam, there are 785 new projects get the license of investment, total newly registered capital reached $US3.82 billion, an increase of 80.1% over the same period.

According to the Foreign Investment Department (Ministry of Planning and Investment), from the beginning of the year to March 20th 2019, the total FDI capital newly registered and licensed, increased and contributed capital into Vietnam reached $US10.8 billion, up over 86.2% over the same period and highest in three years.
Apart from the increased capital, the newly registered and contributed capital to buy shares surged.
In total, in the whole of Vietnam, there are 785 new projects get the license of investment, total newly registered capital reached $US3.82 billion, an increase of 80.1% over the same period. 
In the field of investment, foreign investors have invested in 18 industries, of which the manufacturing and processing sector is attracting much attention from foreign investors with total capital of US$ 8.4 billion, accounting for 77.7% of total registered capital.
Real estate ranks second with the total investment capital of $US 778.2 million, accounting for 7.2% of total registered capital. In the third place, technology attracted $US 383.2 million, this is equivalent to 3.5% of the total capital.
In the first quarter of 2019, The Ministry of Planning and Investment estimated that total foreign investment projects have been disbursed is $US 4.12 billion, an increase of 6.2% compared to the same period.
In terms of investment partners, 74 countries and territories have investment in Vietnam, of which Hong Kong ranks first with total investment of US$ 4.4 billion, accounting for 40.7% of total investment capital.
Singapore ranked second with total registered capital of US$ 1.46 billion, accounting for 13.5% of total investment capital in Vietnam; South Korea ranked third with a total registered capital of US$ 1.3 billion, accounting for 12.2% of total investment capital.
China and Japan in this order rank fourth and fifth places with total registered capital of $1billion and $US 700 million.
According to the investment area, foreign investors have invested in 49 provinces and cities, of which Ha NOi is the locality attracting the most foreign investment capital with a total registered capital of US$ 4.15 billion, 38.4% of total investment capital.
Ho Chi Minh city ranks second with a total registered capital of US$ 1.57 billion, accounting for 14.5% of total investment capital. Binh Duong ranked third with total registered capital of US$ 625.5 million, accounting for 5.8% of total investment capital.
