In the National Forum on Developing Vietnam Technology organized today, there have been full of initiatives on developing Vietnam’s technology to support for the economy.
In the forum, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that technology is key in enhancing Vietnam’s role into the developed economy, escaping the middle income trap. In order to do this, it is necessary to master the technology and fulfill the management holes.
Phuc gave out one initiative: “In the future, Vietnam will not just absorb technology, master technology but also need to invent, use the technology to solve the Vietnam’s problems, paving the way for the global expansion”.
According to Prime Minister Phuc, Vietnam is enjoying the advantage of the very high number of Internet users, over the past several years, there have been many venture investment funds, many information technology companies started. After 30 years of installing devices, Vietnam now has enough conditions to invent technology, thus it is necessary to state about the strategy to develop technology.
Prime Minister said that Vietnamese government will join with the ministries to launch the digital transformation process to create market for the technology companies.
Prime Minister Phuc in favor of the policy to develop industrial zones, creatitive technology to make the conditions favorable for companies. Apart from that, it is also necessary to make changes in educaion to increase the access. 
As reported by Vietnam Investment Review, Vietnamese technology enterprises play an important role in leading the national transition and the building of a digital economy and digital society.
This February, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also signed Decree No.13/2019/ND-CP on science and technology enterprises. Accordingly, technology enterprises will be given exemption and reductions in corporate income tax as well as land and water rental fees, in addition to credit incentives.
