The Investment Forum newspaper (BizLIVE) will co-host a conference titled “Redefining the Post-restructuring Banking System” at Hilton Hotel, Hanoi on October 23.
BizLIVE to Hold Conference on Banking Restructuring
BizLIVE together with the Vietnam Institute of Economics will organize the conference to review a government-approved master plan to overhaul the banking system in the 2011-2015 period.
Eminent experts and central bank officials will gather to take a look into how the thorny issues such as governance, cross-ownership and bad debt of credit institutions in Vietnam have been dealt with since 2012 when the restructuring plan was initiated.
The event will focus on three main topics: (i) outcomes of the banking overhaul over the past three years, (ii) orientations for banking restructuring in the next five years, and (iii) issues that have driven public attention.
Speakers and panelists of the conference will include Tran Dinh Thien, director of the Vietnam Institute of Economics, Vo Tri Thanh, deputy director of the Central Institute for Economic Management, Tran Du Lich, member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council, Tran Tho Dat, principal of the National Economics University, among others.
