Ha Long Bay in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh has been listed among the world’s most beautiful sunrise spots in 2019 by the Microsoft Network (MSN), according to the article released by Vietnamplus English version.
What better backdrop to the emerald waters, limestone and surrounding rainforests of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam than a sunrise? And you don’t have to do any climbing for this one. Just sit back and watch the sunrise at around 5am in summer from Ban Chan Beach, or from a boat on the water, MSN reporter described in the article.
“What’s more memorable when you see the sunrise in Ha Long Bay, natural wonders with turquoise waters, majestic limestone mountains and lush tropical forests,” MSN wrote.
“What you need to do is take a boat tour on Ha Long Bay and wake up at 5pm to catch mild, romantic sunshine unexpectedly.”
Other places to see beautiful sunrise include Sydney Harbour in Australia, Monument Valley in the US, Ankor Wat in Cambodia, Snowdon in Wales, Plain of Okavango in Botswana, Brooklyn Bridge in the US, Table Mountain in South Africa, London Bridge Tower in the UK, and Bagan in Myanmar.

Ha Long Bay was recognised twice by the UNESCO as a global heritage site for its landscape and geological value.
This year, the bay had been labelled as one of the most mentioned global cruise destinations on Instagram by British magazine Woman and Home.
It was also listed among the 25 most beautiful places around the world by the US’s Cable News Network (CNN), and among the most popular attractions in Asia according to the Hong Kong – based South China Morning Post (SCMP).
Ha Long Bay has an area of around 1,553 km2 (600 sq mi), including 1,960–2,000 islets, most of which are limestone. The core of the bay has an area of 334 km2 (129 sq mi) with a high density of 775 islets. The limestone in this bay has gone through 500 million years of formation in different conditions and environments.
The evolution of the karst in this bay has taken 20 million years under the impact of the tropical wet climate. The geo-diversity of the environment in the area has created biodiversity, including a tropical evergreen biosystem, oceanic and sea shore biosystem. Ha Long Bay is home to 14 endemic floral species and 60 endemic faunal species.
