Vietnam Shares Jumps on TPP Talk Conclusion

BizLIVE - The benchmark VN Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange soared 1.5% to 578.56 at Tuesday break time as investors stepped in to buy shares across the board after the conclusion of U.S.-led Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations.

As many as 168 stocks gained, 47 tickers ended the morning session in negative territory while 54 stocks stayed still.
Financials including BIDV (BID), Baoviet Holding (BVH), VietinBank (CTG), Ho Chi Minh City Securities (HCM), MBBank (MBB), Saigon Securities (SSI) and Vietcombank (VCB) led the market rally, adding to other blue-chips such as FPT Corp (FPT), PV Gas (GAS), PV Drilling (PVD) and Kinh Bac City (KBC).

Companies of the apparel & textile, footwear, seafood, woodwork sectors such TCM, FMC, VHC, GDT, TTF will have easier access to TPP markets, according to analysts.
