TCMSC (Labuan) Pte Ltd, a unit of Malaysia’s Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd, has received approval to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary to make software products and provide information technology (IT) solutions and services in Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi.
TC Systems (Vietnam) Company Ltd will undertake a $5 million IT project in the country, Tan Chong Motor said in a filing sent to Bursa Malaysia.
The company, which already has a Nissan vehicle distribution business in Vietnam, said the project would take 30 years from the issuance date of the investment registration certificate.
“The project is set to develop IT capabilities and to tap into IT talents in Vietnam,” it said.
