Mr. Takimoto Koji officially replaces Mr. Yasuzumi Hirotaka as head of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Takimoto Koji began his new term as head of JETRO on June 16, 2016. In the past, he took part in SME Japan Support, a program to foster small and medium enterprises in Japan. He has a Master degree in Mechanical engineering from the The Tokyo Institute of Technology.

In his new term, Mr. Koji will push forward for more Japanese investments in Vietnam, improve local supporting industries and increase import of Japanese produce.

He appreciates the government’s signal to create a more transparent and efficient business landscape that will surely benefit enterprises, both Japanese and Vietnamese alike.

Mr. Koji also tips off that he will lead of group of Japanese financial backers to Vietnam to provide Vietnamese SMEs with financial support in the near future.
